Premular (Vitex agnus-castus, special extract Ze 440) is recommended for the relief of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). PMS includes physical symptoms such as breast tenderness and behavioural symptoms including anger and irritability.

Many of the symptoms of PMS are thought to be related to changes in the levels of the female hormone prolactin. Premular is thought to inhibit prolactin by competitively binding to dopamine receptors.
